A place to rant about politics, the media, and especially the electorate. Much like alcohol, the electorate is both the cause of, and the solution to, all of America's problems.

Hmm. George III may have had a point....

Now that we see what George VII (the American King) is like, consider George III's remark upon losing the American Revolution:

Knavery seems to be so much the striking feature of its [America's] inhabitants that it may not in the end be an evil that they will become aliens to the kingdom.

Way to accept the loss of the colonies with something like grace, and looking on the bright side. At least you don't have to take responsibility for knaves like George VII.

Future headline: Delay defense argues that Bush tainted jury pool AGAINST Delay...

Delay after receiving his guilty verdict:
"I mean come ON! The guy's approval ratings are in the 30s - what did he think his vote of confidence in me would do? Of course the jury came back 12-0 for conviction. Even man-dog Santorum won't be seen in public with him. George Bush's support is quite simply the kiss of death (literally in my case) - worse even that one's pro prospects after winning the Heisman.

Therefore, your honor, I respectfully request that you declare a mistrial due to the fact that Bush's support torpedoed me in the eyes of the jury."

You watch - it'll happen.

If only they'd have know about these Social Security Queens a year ago....

Those damn freeloading seniors - ungraciously taking the largess of this nation and spending it on food and electric bills.

Is it too late to get rid of Social Security? Then these SS Queens would just die quietly, and we wouldn't have to hear about it anymore...
